Street Clean Up Sunday Nov 5, 2pm

A rain or shine event!  Bring your enthusiasm; rain gear and warm gear; gloves; and a leaf rake if you have one. Paper and plastic bags will be provided.

  • When:  Sunday November 5, 2017 from 2 to 4pm
  • Where:  Meet in the front yard of Roxanne’s home at 4055 – 25th Avenue South Minneapolis 55406
  • What:  We will be picking up leaves and trash from 6 (possibly more) designated storm drains within the watershed that drains into Lake Hiawatha
  • Our Plan:
    • 2-2:20 pm  Learn about the significance of our efforts to clean up 6 storm drains, and get your assignment for a particular inlet to clean up.
    • 2:20-3:30  Clean up your assigned area (note, if you get through your work at one storm drain early in the allowed clean up time, you may be assigned a second one)
    • 3:30-4:00  Rally back at Roxanne’s at 4055 – 25th Avenue South with your gathered up debris in hand.
      • We will compare volumes collected
      • We will find out who discovered the most unusual item(s) curbside
      • We will have an opportunity for you to Join Us as a Friend of Lake Hiawatha

All-in-all, we will spend two hours together doing something great for our immediate community, and for our friends down river with our combined efforts!  We look forward to your participation!
